If you any of you are wondering what to do your devotions on, I have a recommendation. Read Philippians. Read it over and over and over again. Look for repeated words like rejoice and peace. I have been learning that I don’t understand much when it comes to the plans of God. I find myself telling the Lord over and over again that I don’t understand. But, I have also been learning with the help of Philippians that it is not understanding that I need, but it is the peace of God. This peace surpasses understanding. I exhort you all to seek out this peace until you find it.
“Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Phil. 4:4-7).
